Unity


I dreamed 
  a great truth
    so majestic

That
  it crumbled away
    all
My former knowledge.

Its unity
  was
    the oneness
Of God.

Its one idea
  encompassed
    the whole
      magnitude
Of the universe.

But
  I woke
    and
  in waking
Became forgetful.

The idea
  slipped away
    and
  I was left
    with
Only the feeling 
  that once,
	eveything
	  was
	simple.
